The Chalet Bed and Breakfast is situated on the edge of Shaftesbury - a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The town is an ancient Saxon Hilltop town standing just over 700 feet above sea level. Shaftesbury is famous for its Gold Hill which was featured in the unforgettable Hovis advert, directed by Ridley Scott. Among many of the towns attractions are the ruins of Shaftesbury Abbey built in 888 ad which was demolished by command of Henry VIII. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The Chalet features 4 star rated accommodation.
The Chalet is a no smoking bed and breakfast and the house itself was awarded Certificates of Excellence in two categories by the Federation of Master Builders in 2005; Category 1, for New Houses and Category 6 for Energy and Efficiency. The Chalet is truly an Eco House. The Chalet Bed & Breakfast has its own parking facility, so you can leave your car behind and explore Shaftesbury at your leisure, ensure you see Gold Hill and the magnificent views across the Blackmore Vale from Park Walk.
